We're here to support studio members as much as possible with the professional development of their practice.
In the past we have run ad-hoc talks and workshops inviting guest speakers such as Bernard Horrocks of the Tate sharing his knowledge on copyright and Intellectual Property. A Dr. of economics advising on how to price work, Art Critics on PR. Our community
is of a size now where we can run regular events (talk, workshop or seminar).
November 1st - Laura and Gabby founders of www.relevantnow.com - a PR website - return to support members in designing an approach to their PR.
This workshop takes you on a whistle stop tour of PR, explaining its importance, how to understand and reach your target audience, what makes a good story, the best timings to reach the media and how to write
a press release. Along the way, we’ll discuss the changing media landscape and the opportunities this presents as well as how to link your campaign with social media. Packed full of tips and tricks that Laura and Gaby have learned during their extensive PR
careers (spanning over 30 years between them), the session is designed to be informative and informal (we welcome questions), but mostly fun!
Cost: £10 payable in cash on the day
