I am fascinated by nature, and my work focuses on the interaction of the natural and man-made, things that seem permanent versus ever-changing.
I works from observation, memory and imagination, with a particular emphasis on drawing. I have developed a unique approach to drawing using two hands together.
Many of my works are about my experience of place, including my hometown of London - its streets, skyline, architecture and hidden green spaces, and from my travels.
I am a self-trained artist, but since early 2014 I have undertaken an intense period of study in drawing, etching and oil-painting at prestigious art institutions including Chelsea College of Arts, the Royal Drawing School and New York Studio School. I teach drawing, including with two hands, to local art groups on an ad-hoc basis.
