About Artist
Yuli graduated with a degree in Art & Design from The London College of Fashion London, specializing in Knitwear & Textile Design. Her love of experimenting with all tactile mediums led her to develop a strong bond with Clay at a very young age, using clay, paper, string, metal wire to construct and deconstruct She always enjoyed exploring and playing with different mediums and finding pieces of branches and stones to experiment with. She started teaching workshops at The London Academy of Art in London for almost 3 years before venturing alone to start her own Atelier The Renaissance Atelier where she teaches Adults how to sculpt, students enjoy her relaxed, gentle way of teaching, she combines practical exercises with her own insight, trying to motivate and encourage everyone to pursue their ideas and achieve beautiful works of art that mean something to them through experimenting and making mistakes. She is determined to make sure everyone believes in their own capabilities. She often works on personal projects teaching people from all backgrounds Artists, Doctors, Graphic Designers, Architects, writers, musicians, special effects sculptors from Madame Tussauds and anyone who is looking to learn a new skill in an fun environment.
Yuli has a strong sense of touch and a keen eye for detail with a belief that Anything can be made into something by hand and not necessarily bought already made. She finds the contrast between geometric lines and volumes fascinating and loves looking at the human body through clay.
Solo Exhibitions
After a 2 year hiatus after the birth of her first daughter Athena. Yuli has plans for a small collection of sculptures which will delve into her current experience of life through clay and mixed medias.
