We have a membership all at varying stages of their careers, ranging from recent graduates, emerging artists and makers to long established practitioners.
Affordability / Advocacy / Community & Development
SFSA has established itself as one of London's leading artists' and craft and designer maker studio space providers over the past 21 years. Our core aim is providing
best quality studios and facilities at monthly rental prices our members can afford.
On average we are 25-30% lower than open market commercial rents. SFSA Studio & Community members will always be given priority notification and ability to reserve available studios in our buildings or within future development schemes ahead of non
The affordable studio space sector in the capital has been under threat for many years and the problem is only getting worse with increasing property land values.
SFSA have been a member of the GLA Artists' Workspace Taskforce for the past 4 years advising the Mayor's office on the challenges facing artists' and craft and designer makers in London.
SFSA will continue to advocate for the members it represents, the more members we have the louder we are heard, and more influence we have to support the policy changes
needed at both
local and national levels to support the future of our sector.

We'll be running regular social events and industry led talks/seminars.

All applicants applying for membership and a studio with SFSA must demonstrate that they are a practicing visual or fine artist, crafts maker, or designer maker.
