SFSA Drawing Open

A true celebration of Drawing, staged each spring alongside the SFSA Deptford Foundry Annual Open Studios. Registration usually opens early February, announced via Instagram.

SFSA have a long history of being inclusive and offering opportunity to all artists. 2024 will be the 5th SFSA Drawing Open, always a vibrant and celebratory exhibition and we look forward to welcoming you into the no format Gallery. #SFSADrawingOpen

Artist Information and Key Dates:

  • All enquiries, registration and questions by email to Hannah.cushion@secondfloor.co.uk after the launch date. NOW CLOSED.

  • Registration opens 8am 1st February - To register please email your full name, artist name, expression of interest and confirm you can make the drop off and pick up dates. The first 100 artists who email in will be confirmed to take part.

  • Payment deadline 29th of February

  • Image and Paperwork submission deadline Monday 8th April.

  • Work drop off Tuesday 7th of May
    10:00 to 18:00. no format Gallery, Moulding Lane (off Arklow Road), Deptford.

  • Work pick up Monday 20th of May
    10:00 to 18:00. no format Gallery, Moulding Lane (off Arklow Road), Deptford.

Artist Information, Participation Guidelines:

  • True Open, all submissions accepted. Up to 100 artists welcome to participate.

  • 100 artists from London and the local counties are warmly welcomed to participate. One submission per artist

  • £24 submission fee (inc VAT)

  • Maximum submission size 30 x 30cm (to include any framing)

  • Each submission to arrive ‘hanging system ready’ for speed of installation. All work must arrive pre fitted with cord on the back, fitted one quarter below the top of the work.

  • no commission on sales

  • Please only participate if you can make the work drop off and pick up dates, thanks.

  • Postal returns are not possible, sorry.
