The Royal Borough of Greenwich held its second year of Civic Awards to recognise the work of unsung local heros. The awards are made on an annual basis to individuals, organisations and businesses who have made an outstanding contribution to the Royal Borough.

Nichole Herbert Wood, SFSA operations director and long standing SFSA studio members for over 14 years Rod Hunt and Warren King attended the ceremony along with Carolyn Nicoll, Print Studio Director.

Second Floor Studios & Arts (SFSA) attended the Civic Award Ceremony on the 7th of March 2014 and won the category for Contribution to Economic Prosperity and the arts organisations outstanding contribution to the social, economic and physical wellbeing of the Royal Borough.

SFSA is a London-based social enterprise company and membership organisation established in Greenwich in 1997. It has worked to support artists, craft makers and designer makers for the past 17 years with affordable studio space, workshops and other facilities. SFSA currently have a membership of over 300 artists, craft makers and designers ranging from recent graduates, emerging artists and makers to long established practitioners.
