Matthew Wood
Founding Director/Owner of Second Floor Studios & Arts Ltd and Second Floor Studios CIC.
Matthew founded Second Floor Studios & Arts in 1997 with Kelvin O'Mard, when they met at Goldsmiths University. Since 2014, alongside co-owner and CEO, Nichole Herbert Wood, he has been strategically investing to secure long-term leases and acquisitions, primarily targeting affordable artists’ studio workspaces, aiming to strive to offer both security and perpetuity, setting the stage for generations of creative communities to flourish and innovate. Matthew launched no format Gallery in 2011, a dynamic, interdisciplinary space, designed to bolster a diverse array of creatives. Matthew is a founding member of LAASN www.lassn.co.uk, an alliance of affordable artist studio providers, representing over 1 million sq ft of space and 1 in 3 artists in London.

Rod Hunt
Second Floor Studio CIC Chair & Second Floor Studios & Arts Ltd Director.
London-based illustrator and map designer Rod Hunt is renowned for his work on the bestselling "Where's Stig?" books for the BBC's Top Gear. Apart from being the PR and Media Relations Chair for ICON The Illustration Conference at ICON8 and ICON9 for four years, he also led the Association of Illustrators (AOI) from 2009 to 2012, serving as a director for nine years. AOI, established in 1973, supports illustrators' rights and promotes professional standards. Leveraging his industry knowledge, Hunt frequently speaks on topics like Self Promotion for Illustrators and the Business of Illustration, at conferences, events and art colleges globally, including Children's Books Ireland, Offset, Pixel Show, Campus Party, and The Illustration Conference.
Nichole Herbert Wood
CEO/Owner of Second Floor Studios & Arts Ltd and Second Floor Studios CIC.
Nichole is a resourceful and dedicated social entrepreneur. Passionately working to create a legacy of workspace for future generations of visual artists. She has a background in economics and a decade of corporate employment. Since 2010 she has been working on a combination of art connected ventures with the management and delivery of studios for emerging and established artists and makers at the core. Nichole was honoured to be in the first cohort for the Executive Masters in Cultural Leadership with the Royal Academy of Arts and Maastricht University 2019. GLA Workspace Advisory Group advisor 2018-2021.
